TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) એટલે શિક્ષક તરીકે નિયુક્તિ મેળવવા માટે લેવામાં આવતી પાત્રતા પરીક્ષા.
આ પરીક્ષાનો મુખ્ય હેતુ એ છે કે પ્રાથમિક (Class 1 થી 5) અને ઉચ્ચ પ્રાથમિક (Class 6 થી 8) કક્ષામાં શિક્ષક તરીકે યોગ્ય ઉમેદવારોની પસંદગી થાય.
🎯 TET નો હેતુ
TET પરીક્ષાનો ઉદ્દેશ્ય એ છે કે:
- શિક્ષણક્ષેત્રમાં ઉચ્ચ ગુણવત્તા જળવાય.
- શૈક્ષણિક રીતે પાત્ર અને કૌશલ્યવાન શિક્ષકોની પસંદગી થાય.
- સરકારી તથા ખાનગી શાળાઓમાં શિક્ષક તરીકે નિમણૂક માટે ઉમેદવારોને એક સમાન ધોરણ પર આંકી શકાય.

TET ના બે મુખ્ય ભાગ છે:
- TET-I — ક્લાસ 1 થી 5 (પ્રાથમિક શિક્ષકો માટે)
- TET-II — ક્લાસ 6 થી 8 (ઉચ્ચ પ્રાથમિક શિક્ષકો માટે)
| TET-I પાસ કરનાર ઉમેદવાર માત્ર પ્રાથમિક શિક્ષક તરીકે લાયક ગણાય છે, જ્યારે TET-II પાસ કરનાર ઉચ્ચ પ્રાથમિક શિક્ષક તરીકે લાયક ગણાય છે. |
🧮 પરીક્ષા માળખું (Exam Pattern)
- કુલ પ્રશ્નો – 150
- કુલ માર્ક – 150
- સમય – 2 કલાક
- નકારાત્મક માર્કિંગ નથી
- વિષયો – બાળ વિકાસ અને શિક્ષણશાસ્ત્ર, ભાષા (ગુજરાતી/અંગ્રેજી), ગણિત, પર્યાવરણ અભ્યાસ
🧠 લાયકાત અને માન્યતા
| TET પાસ કરવી એટલે માત્ર લાયકાત મેળવવી — તે નોકરીની ગરંટી નથી આપે, પરંતુ શિક્ષક ભરતી પરીક્ષામાં ભાગ લેવાની અરજી માટે અનિવાર્ય છે. એક વાર TET પાસ કરી લે પછી તે લાયકાત જીવનભર માન્ય હોય છે (નવી નિયમાવલી મુજબ). |

- The online application starts 29 October 2025.
- Last date to apply: 12 November 2025.
- Last date for fee payment: 14 November 2025.
- Exam date: 14 December 2025 (tentative) for classes 1–5.
- Conducting body: State Examination Board, Gujarat (SEB) under the Government of Gujarat.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria (for TET-1)
| Minimum: | Senior Secondary (12th standard) pass. |
| Plus: | One of the following teacher training qualifications: |
- 2-year PTC / D.El.Ed.
- 4-year B.El.Ed.
- 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
| Mediums: Gujarati, Hindi, English (candidates must choose the medium they are qualified in). Application fees: ₹ 350 for General category; ₹ 250 for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PH categories. |
📝 How to Apply
- Visit the official portal: OJAS or sebexam.org where the “Apply Online” link is available.
- Read the notification carefully (dates, eligibility, fees, pattern).
- Register: Provide personal details, educational qualification, contact information.
- Upload scanned photo and signature as per specified format.
- Pay the application fee online by net-banking/credit-card/debit-card.
- Print/save the confirmation/application receipt for future reference.
ℹ️ Tips
- Fill in the correct medium (Gujarati/Hindi/English) — once selected it may not be changed.
- Double-check all details (name, DOB, category, qualification) before submitting — changes later may not be permitted.
- Keep scanned copy and printout of your application for your records.
- Make sure you pay the fee within the given period (before or by 14 Nov 2025 in this case) to avoid rejection.
- After applying, regularly check the website for admit card release and updates.
