પૂરું નામ: Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (બાળકોનો મફત અને ફરજિયાત શિક્ષણનો અધિકાર અધિનિયમ).
બંધારણીય જોગવાઈ: ભારતીય બંધારણની કલમ 21-A હેઠળ શિક્ષણને મૂળભૂત અધિકાર બનાવવામાં આવ્યો છે.
હેતુ: 6 થી 14 વર્ષની વયના દરેક બાળકને મફત અને ફરજિયાત શિક્ષણ મળી રહે તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરવું.
૨. મુખ્ય લાક્ષણિકતાઓ
ખાનગી શાળાઓમાં અનામત: આ કાયદા હેઠળ ખાનગી બિન-અનુદાનિત શાળાઓમાં નબળા અને વંચિત જૂથના બાળકો માટે 25% બેઠકો અનામત રાખવામાં આવે છે.
મફત શિક્ષણ: પસંદ થયેલા બાળકોને ધોરણ 1 થી 8 સુધીનું શિક્ષણ સંપૂર્ણપણે મફત આપવામાં આવે છે.

ભરતીનો પ્રકાર અને કાર્યસ્થળ
આ ભરતી સંપૂર્ણપણે કરાર (Contractual) અથવા પાર્ટ ટાઇમ ધોરણે કરવામાં આવશે. પસંદ થયેલા ઉમેદવારોને જવાહર નવોદય વિદ્યાલય તથા INV ખાતે ફરજ સોંપવામાં આવશે.
પસંદગી પ્રક્રિયા
પસંદગી પ્રક્રિયા સંપૂર્ણપણે ઇન્ટરવ્યૂ આધારિત રહેશે. દસ્તાવેજ ચકાસણી પછી લાયક ઉમેદવારોને વ્યક્તિગત ચર્ચા (Interview) માટે બોલાવવામાં આવશે. કોઈપણ ઉમેદવારને વોક-ઇન-ઇન્ટરવ્યૂ માટે TA/DA ચૂકવવામાં આવશે નહીં.
અરજી પ્રક્રિયા

PGT ભૂગોળના પદ માટે ઉમેદવાર પાસે સંબંધિત વિષયમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 50% ગુણ સાથે સંકલિત અનુસ્નાતક અભ્યાસક્રમ હોવો જરૂરી છે, જેમાં B.Ed. ઘટક સામેલ હોય અને તે NCTE માન્ય સંસ્થા/યુનિવર્સિટીમાંથી પૂર્ણ કરેલો હોવો જોઈએ. વૈકલ્પિક રીતે, ઉમેદવાર પાસે સંબંધિત વિષયમાં 50% ગુણ સાથે માસ્ટર ડિગ્રી અનેNCTE માન્ય સંસ્થામાંથી B.Ed. ડિગ્રી હોવી આવશ્યક છે. આ પદ માટે દર મહિને રૂ. 35,750/- પગાર ચૂકવવામાં આવશે. કુલ 2 જગ્યાઓ ઉપલબ્ધ છે અને કાર્યસ્થળ INV પોરબંદર રહેશે.
છાત્રાલય અધિક્ષક (પુરુષ / મહિલા)
છાત્રાલય અધિક્ષક પદ માટે ઉમેદવાર પાસે કોઈપણ વિદ્યાશાખામાં સ્નાતક ડિગ્રી ફરજિયાત છે, જ્યારે માસ્ટર ડિગ્રી અથવા B.Ed. ધરાવતા ઉમેદવારોને પ્રાથમિકતા આપવામાં આવશે. ઉમેદવારને પ્રાદેશિક ભાષાનું જ્ઞાન હોવું આવશ્યક છે. વય મર્યાદા ઓછામાં ઓછી 35 વર્ષ અને મહત્તમ 62 વર્ષ રાખવામાં આવી છે. ઉમેદવાર પાસે કોઈપણ માન્ય શાળામાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 2 વર્ષનો કાર્ય અનુભવ હોવો જોઈએ, જે પગાર સ્તર-3 (7th Pay Commission) અથવા સમકક્ષ સ્કેલમાં ગણવામાં આવશે. ભૂતપૂર્વ સંરક્ષણ કર્મચારીઓ પણ અરજી કરી શકે છે. આ પદ માટે દર મહિને રૂ. 44,900/- પગાર આપવામાં આવશે. કુલ 4 જગ્યાઓ છે (2 પુરુષ અને 2 મહિલા) જે JNV પોરબંદર તથા INV દેવભૂમિ દ્વારકા ખાતે રહેશે.

કાઉન્સેલર પદ માટે માત્ર મહિલા ઉમેદવારો અરજી કરી શકે છે. ઉમેદવાર પાસે માન્ય યુનિવર્સિટીમાંથી મનોવિજ્ઞાનમાં માસ્ટર ડિગ્રી (MA/MSc) હોવી ફરજિયાત છે. અથવા તો માર્ગદર્શન અને કાઉન્સેલિંગમાં એક વર્ષનો ડિપ્લોમા હોવો જોઈએ. માર્ગદર્શન અને પરામર્શ ક્ષેત્રમાં ઓછામાં ઓછો એક વર્ષનો અનુભવ ઇચ્છનીય ગણાશે.
